Urgency Is a Red Flag: Don’t Let Scammers Rush You

You’re going about your day when suddenly, you get a call or text:

  • A wire transfer was just made from your account.
  • There’s been suspicious activity.
  • Act now, or your account will be locked.

It’s alarming. That’s the point.

Scammers know that fear makes people act fast. They’ll impersonate financial institutions and create a sense of urgency to get you to hand over personal information—account numbers, login credentials, or even send money. They may sound legitimate, but their goal is simple: gain your trust and your money.

What to Do If This Happens

  • ❌ Don’t click any links or respond to the message.
  • ✅ Hang up or stop texting. Take a moment to pause.
  • 📞 Call us directly using the number on our website or visit one of our local branches.

We’re your local credit union—just down the road. If something doesn’t seem right, come talk to us. We’re here to help, face-to-face, with people you know and trust.

We’ll never pressure you to act immediately or ask for sensitive information through unsolicited texts or calls.

If something feels off, trust your gut—and check with us first.

Stay smart. Stay secure.
